Recruiting Cleaners With Facebook – 3 Tips

When I mention Facebook, you may be tempted to think of political rants, pictures of people pretending to have a perfect life, or workout selfies. And true enough, there are more of those things in my Facebook feed than I care to see. However, Facebook can be a remarkably powerful recruiting tool for you and your cleaning business. And in an industry where staffing ranks as one of the chief struggles, you cannot afford to neglect this audience of 240+ million people. I want to offer you three ways you can recruit cleaners on Facebook.

Before I offer these three tips, you need to set up a Facebook business page. This is a simple and free process. If you need help with that, click here.

Facebook Recruiting Tip #1

My first and favorite way to recruit on Facebook is by creating ads on my business page. You can do this by going to your campaign manager and creating an ad or by simply posting a help wanted post on your business page wall and then “boosting” that post. For just $20-$40, you can cause your post to show up in front of several thousand people matching whatever demographic information you select. Facebook lets you target by age, geography, income, and a host of other factors. If your ad looks halfway decent, you can get clicks on your job ad for $0.20-$0.50 per click.

Facebook Recruiting Tip #2

Facebook recently came out with their own job search platform. This new feature allows you to post a job from your business page, specifying the job type, pay, and location. This will allow job seekers in your targeted area to see your job openings. Applicants can then apply right on Facebook. The downside to this feature is that it doesn’t allow you to redirect applicants to your website.

Facebook Recruiting Tip #3

The final Facebook tip is to use Facebook groups to post your job ads. Nearly every town or county has multiple Facebook groups dedicated to buying, selling, and even jobs. These can be both public and private groups and often contain tens of thousands of users. If you combine this tip along with the other two, you can reach thousands of people for less than a new pair of shoes.

Recruiting doesn’t have to be a budget breaker and Facebook makes that possible. Give it a try.
