Recruiting with Facebook is an absolute must in the janitorial industry. Finding and keeping good people is every contractor’s biggest challenge and Facebook is a cheap, accessible, and quick way to reach big numbers of potential applicants. However, simple text posts aren’t enough. Studies have shown that video is the most effective way to get user interaction, so it must be in your recruiting arsenal.
Last week, my assistant had the idea of using my 8-year-old daughter, Phoebe, to create a recruiting video. We developed a short script and after 20 mins of shooting and about 30 mins of editing, we developed our most effective Facebook campaign to date. With this simple video, we are getting potential applicants engaged at the LOW COST of $0.26/click. So for about a dollar, I have 4 potential applicants landing on my recruiting/application page. Since the video went live just 3 days ago, I’ve spent $66 dollars and had nearly 250 applicants go to my application page.
